Rodeo is a competitive sport involving a series of riding and roping contests derived from the working skills of the American cowboy. It is usually broken down into two categories: timed events and rough stock events. The rodeo is fun and exciting for fans and athletes!

The Stockyards Championship Rodeo is held in the world-famous Cowtown Coliseum and is the home of the world’s first indoor rodeo. Our rodeo features timed events such as tie-down roping, break away roping, team roping and barrel racing and rough stock events such as bull riding. On Saturday nights, more rough stock events are added like bronc riding, bareback and ranch bronc riding. Come see us for 2 hours of action packed excitement! We are the world’s only year-round rodeo! Every Friday and Saturday night year round at 8:00 p.m. The doors open at 6:30 and the rodeo starts at 8:00 and lasts for 2 hours.
